What are object shows?

"An object show (commonly miscapitalized as an Object Show or simply abbreviated as just a show) is a type of web series that was invented in 2008 with Total Firey Island, later popularized in 2010 with Battle for Dream Island, and typically feature anthropomorphized objects that usually compete for a prize, similar to reality shows like Total Drama and Survivor, although some are non-competitive. my experiance with object shows

I adore object shows. They're favroute thing ever and I love watching them. I have been in the osc since two months after the II season 2 finale. Yeah I'm a newbie... but that doesn't matter, does it? lol

Despite BFDI being one of the shows the object show community recommends to watch first, it wasn't actually my first object show. My very first object show was ITFT. During exam week of 2025, I was scrolling on tiktok when i should've been studying. A funny clip of WWFT came up. I wasn't in the osc at the time, but I still gave that show a watch, solely to see more of WWFT. That's when I got hooked. I started watching more and more object shows.

Now, BFDI is probably one of my faviroute OS ever, but I love all object shows! I wish I started watching object shows sooner. These funny shows have brought me so much joy and a sense of comfort through a difficult time in my life, and they still do. Who knew such silly things could mean so much to me?
